For more than 60 years, the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has applied science and technology to make the world a safer place.

We have an opening for a PMMS (Preventive Maintenance Management System) Technical Coordinator. You will provide basic technical coordination and support, including creating and closing Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders.  This position is in the Central Facilities and Infrastructure Department.
Essential Duties
- Solve basic technical problems and exercise minimal decision making using established guidelines, techniques, and procedures.
- Create and close preventive maintenance work orders.
- Review Integrated Safety data to ensure it is current in PMMS.
- Schedule, coordinate and load PMs for maintenance in PMMS.
- Communicate with facility personnel on a regular basis regarding both preventive maintenance issues and PM discovered repair needs.
- Scan and archive preventive maintenance documents per the preventive maintenance requirements.
- Keep Master Equipment List data current and review for accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in a related technology area or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Basic knowledge and/or experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Demonstrated organizational skills necessary to effectively coordinate activities with multiple components requiring attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to communicate technical language in non-technical terms.
- Experience in a service organization responding to customer needs, requests and issues while utilizing a high degree of discretion, tact, judgment and diplomacy.
- Experience with personal computers and associated software and different database systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the PM business process and system.
- Knowledge of the Laboratory’s PMMS system.
- Knowledge of the Master Equipment List.

Pre-Employment Drug Test:  External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.

Security Clearance:  This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level clearance.

If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.  In addition, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing.  If you hold multiple citizenships (U.S. and another country), you may be required to renounce your non-U.S. citizenship before a DOE L or Q clearance will be processed/granted.


Note:   This is a Career Indefinite position. Lab employees and external candidates may be considered for this position.
