We have an opening for a Technical Coordinator supporting a team of building coordinators with office and computer moves, Vault-Type Rooms (VTR), conference rooms and other daily assignments in support of WCI managed areas.  You will independently perform critical functions such as maintaining supply rooms, and equipment to meet program and/or project schedules. This position is in the Weapons and Complex Integration (WCI) Principal Directorate.
This position will be filled at either the 538.2 or 538.3 level depending on your qualifications. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.
Essential Duties
-Provide general technical support on multiple large and small projects in collaboration with scientists, designers, technicians, engineers, internal organizations, external suppliers, and vendors.
-Coordinate and track multiple projects with frequently changing requirements and priorities while maintaining appropriate records and summaries to support project needs.
-Submit Whiz Tags, Wonder Desk and other service requests.
-Coordinate all aspects of office space including office moves, maintaining rosters and directories, phone moves, office name plates, housekeeping, furniture moves and setup.  Excessing items to the Donation, Utilization, & Sales (DUS) yard, including items for the WCI IT Team.
-Arrange maintenance and repairs for multiple model vehicles and report mileage in Filemaker Pro database.
-Responsible for ensuring Division and Program activities, including furniture and equipment arrangements and setup is completed adhering to local and DOE policies for multiple conferences and meetings in various locations.
-Support common print/copy rooms coordinating supplies, meter reads, repairs, and copier meter reads for equipment.
-Plan and implement many Security and Access Control activities such as, ARGUS and TESA access, motion detector coverage and modifications for VTRs, and coordinate day-lock and repository locations.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
In Addition at the 538.3 Level
- Provide advanced coordination support through specialized technical and administrative knowledge by independently planning, initiating, and coordinating the scheduling of moderately complex maintenance, and leading project teams to install or maintain equipment.
- Propose solutions for improvement of building issues or projects and ensure technical and safety guidelines, standards, specifications, and procedures are implemented.
- Anticipate and reconcile support problems including technical factors affecting critical milestones, developing solutions to resolve moderately complex technical problems and collaborate with technical project personnel to develop appropriate solutions.

- Associate Degree in technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience in manufacturing/fabrication in an engineering or related field.
- Intermediate knowledge of facility management and associated policies and procedures.
- Experience in customer service or support organization and proven ability to interact with a diverse and demanding customer base.
- Experience working independently and as a team member with demonstrated effective problem-solving skills and manage multiple competing priorities while meeting specific programmatic technical and reporting requirements.
- Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Effective communication skills necessary to communicate with vendors,  programmatic personnel and managers.
- Knowledge of office computer software, common operating systems, and common word processing, spreadsheet, and databases.
- Ability to acquire and maintain multiple certifications as needed.

In Addition at the 538.3 Level
- Advanced experience handling multiple projects and complex tasks with frequent interruptions and conflicting/changing priorities including reviewing, tracking, and monitoring of service work orders, estimates, schedules, and status.
- Demonstrated dependability, self-motivation, and possess proven ability to work independently as well as a team member.
- Ability to use independent judgment when making decisions and solving problems with advanced technical skills and knowledge in facility management terminology.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Vault Type Room (VTR) operations and procedures.
- Experience working in a classified environment.
- Experience maintaining TESA and ARGUS databases and/or experience using Filemaker Pro Databases.

Pre-Employment Drug Test:  External applicant(s) selected for this position will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.

Security Clearance:  This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at time of hire.
