We have an opening for a Coordinator to provide property and facility-related technical support to the Security Organization (SO). You will work directly with property, facility and technical staff to perform specific and general duties. This position is in the Technical and Operational Support Division (TOSD) with SO.

Essential Duties
- Responsible for ensuring sunflower database integrity, maintaining records and files related to permissions to the Sunflower security modules; including developing and implementing procedures for the receival and excess of high-risk, accountable items such as weapon and explosives.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with DOE orders regarding tracking and disposal of high-risk, accountable items such as firearms, and explosives
- Provide coordination support on relocation of technical high-risk equipment.
- Assist the SO Property Manager in performing quarterly, annual and self-assessment inventories of high-risk, accountable materials/property such as firearms, explosives, and other security equipment.
- Maintain files for security supply inventories and storage systems; provide detailed status reports to management.
- Perform safety inspections and facility walk-throughs to ensure structural elements are functionally working and coordinate necessary repairs with F&I.
- Assist with facility-related projects working with Facility Managers and FPOCs.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and tracking of high-value materials and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- AA degree in electronics, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, computer engineering or electro-optic technology or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Basic knowledge of security-related equipment including the standards, procedures and techniques related to coordination with the ability to read blueprints/ drawings to identify hazards and faulty equipment.
- Basic understanding of DOE orders specifically relating to the tracking and disposal of special high-risk, accountable items.
- Experience ensuring database integrity, maintaining evidence files and developing and implementing procedures.
- Knowledge material flow and experience conducting inventory, including documenting results via checklists, spreadsheets, or other tracking documents.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, possess outstanding tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.  Ability to coordinate projects with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management.

Security Clearance:  This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at time of hire.
